Meet Paula...
Paula lives with her husband and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in a charming 16th-century cottage in rural Kent.
With a rich family history of adventurous explorers, Paula's life and travels are at the heart of her jewellery designs.
As a self-taught designer, she draws inspiration from art, nature, and her vibrant walled garden, which overflows with wildlife and plants. Her creations seamlessly fuse her love for the natural world with the artistic traditions she profoundly admires, resulting in jewellery that tells a unique and personal story.
Influenced by Art
Since 1994, we've crafted exclusive collections for renowned museums, galleries, and heritage houses worldwide. Our designs draw inspiration from a wide range of artistic periods, styles, and movements, paying homage to exceptional artists throughout history.
Through innovative craftsmanship, we transform these iconic influences into wearable works of art.
Inspired by Nature
Our nature-inspired jewellery captures the timeless beauty and elegance of the natural world. From the industrious honeybee to the fragile snowdrops that herald spring, each piece reflects the harmony and creativity found in nature.
Meticulously handcrafted, every design transforms organic forms into wearable tributes to the earth's wonders, inviting you to carry the beauty of the natural world with you every day.

A Sparkling Beginning
1994
Before starting Paula Bolton Jewellery, Paula ran a large
shop in Cheshire, blending antiques with modern gifts. The ethically sourced jewellery from Bali was a hit in the store. We showcased this jewellery at International Jewellery London, sparking a 30-year journey of creating wearable art for our partners and loyal customers.
To this day we remain a proudly independent, family-run business, driven by a shared passion and creativity.
Reflections of Monet
1996
Inspired by the timeless beauty of Monet's work, Paula Bolton designed the Monet Reflections collection, paying homage to the artist’s renowned Giverny garden and impressionist landscapes. A jewellery collection created as a wearable tribute to one of history’s greatest artists.
Sunflowers & Sovereignty
2001
In this landmark year for Paula Bolton Jewellery we collaborated with two prestigious institutions: the Van Gogh Museum and Buckingham Palace.
For the Van Gogh Museum, we created a stunning line of sunflower-themed jewellery, directly inspired by Van Gogh's iconic sunflower paintings.
Our collaboration with Buckingham Palace saw the design of intricate pieces based on the Royal Collection’s Fabergé animal carvings and majestic candelabra designs, reflecting the elegance and grandeur of royal artefacts.
A World Stage: Dutch Masterpieces & Gothic Revival
2002 - 2003
In 2002 Paula Bolton designed pieces for the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam further establishing a global reputation in the art and museum world. This was also the year of a noteworthy jewellery collaboration with the V&A, drawing on Augustus Pugin's Gothic Revival designs.
In 2003 we collaborated with the Museum of London to create jewellery to honour the treasures discovered in the Cheapside Hoard—a collection of over 400 Elizabethan and Jacobean jewels. A popular Paula Bolton jewellery collection, the cross was presented to the then Lord Mayor of London.
This same year Paula also created her first pieces inspired by L.S. Lowry, in particular his matchstick style figures of people and dogs. These would go on to be sold in The Lowry, theatre and gallery.
Digital Triumphs & Landmark Collaborations
2004 - 2005
In 2004, we launched our first website, embracing the digital age while maintaining our heritage of creating bespoke pieces for galleries, museums and trusts. We also crafted unique jewellery for the Ashmolean Museum, inspired by the Prioress’s Tale wardrobe and a Portcullis bracelet for the House of Commons.
In 2005, as part of Manchester Art Galleries Pre-Raphaelite exhibition, we were commissioned to design jewellery inspired by John William Waterhouse’s 1986 masterpiece, Hylas and the Nymphs. A jewellery collection that garnered widespread attention online becoming such a hit that the computers in the museum went down temporarily. That same year, we also began an exciting collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company, creating an exclusive mask jewellery collection, further cementing our place in both artistic and theatrical design.
Nature Collections, Castle Creations & Lady Agnew's Pendant

We launched of our first nature-inspired collection, Jupiter, which laid the foundation for future favourites like Snowdrop, Honeycomb, Hedgerow, and Urushi.
In this year Paula was honoured to be part of an exclusive group of designers commissioned to create bespoke fabrics, ceramics, and jewellery for Culzean Castle, in collaboration with The National Trust for Scotland. These designs were inspired by the castle's rich history and treasured collections.
A busy year for Paula Bolton Jewellery, we were also commissioned to recreate the pendant featured in John Singer Sargent's famous portrait of Lady Agnew, which is housed at the National Galleries of Scotland. This amethyst and turquoise necklace would go on to become a best-seller.

This period also marked significant international recognition, with commissions from both Versailles Palace and the Hermitage Museum in Russia.
Collaborating with the Royal Opera House on a collection inspired by the Paul Hamlyn window marked a turning point in our design journey. Introducing new materials like resin, it paved the way for our iconic Art Deco, Urushi, Klimt, Mondrian, and Matisse designs.
